The term "redex" is used in mathematics to denote a reduceable expression. Bioredex reduces waste matter, biologically. We use the science of biotechnology to help maintain a cleaner environment.
Microbacterial products have been around for decades; the Bio-Clean brand has been sold since the mid-1970s, primarily as a tool carried by smart plumbers. Along with a growing awareness of the degradation of our water and soil and its global impact, science and technology have also provided improvements in the effectiveness and safety of microbial applications, including Bio-Clean.

Today beneficial microbials are being put to work cleaning up everything from fats, oils, and grease (FOG) in municipal sewers to petroleum spills.
Bioredex works with scientists who specialize in the industrial fermentation of non-pathogenic (friendly) micro-organisms whose unique properties can be combined with triggering natural enzymes and biodegradable "carrier" substances into customized products. Each product has specific capabilities for effectively breaking down organic compounds ranging from simple fats and oils to recalcitrant aromatic hydrocarbons.
Bioredex serves the end-user through direct online sales and a network of distributors around the world servicing commercial customers. We bridge the gap between the technical complexities of bioremediation and the customer looking for natural, safe, and cost-effective ways to eliminate the build-up of unwanted waste.
Bioredex products are custom-blended in small, controlled batches, which is why they are not sold on store shelves. We look forward to help you have a cleaner environment!
Our mission is to provide information and cost-effective products that address the growing problem of waste accumulation in municipal water supplies. In a perfect world, these wastes would decompose on their own from bacteria that is already present within the waste itself. In reality, these types of bacteria are incapable of digesting grease. Further compounding the problem is the widespread use of synthetic detergents and anti-bacterial cleaners that work against the biodegradation process.
Thus the practical need for bio-additives that can go to work eating waste - even using synthetic detergents as a food source and biodegrade them along with food waste.
What's Better About Bioredex?
Bio-additives have been around for awhile - owners of septic tanks may be familiar with some off-the-shelf brands. Bioredex products are not sold in stores - but does that make them a better choice? We're confident that it does for a number of reasons:
- More powerful digestive action - take a look at how our Bio-Clean product stacks up in independent lab tests against leading brands
- Safe - non-poisonous; does not produce heat, fumes, or boiling like caustic chemicals - it is harmless to people, animals, and piping. And, it is not only environmentally friendly - it is extremely beneficial
- Inexpensive - low cost-per-use with even higher cost efficiencies for bulk quantities
- Made in the USA - all products are produced in the U.S. under strict quality control standards. At each step of the manufacturing process, samples are taken and tested to ensure proper microbial viability, performance attributes, that only the selected microbe is present and that there are no pathogens.
- Long Shelf Life - our special formulation of bacteria and enzymes will stay dormant and potent for years if kept dry. Bioredex can be safely and inexpensively shipped to any country in the world and remain fully effective
- Multiple Applications - Bioredex can be used effectively to remediate everything from a slow home shower drain, to restaurant grease traps, to stagnant livestock waste lagoons or a saturated septic field. Our products are used by the military and farmers alike
- Innovation - We are continuously researching new formulations and delivery systems to provide the best product for specific applications.
